Enjoy A Little Night Music – Open-air classical concert this Saturday

If you are in Victoria, on Saturday evening and in search of some light classical music, then make your way to the evocative Hâra d-Dejqa – more familiarly known as Narrow Street, where you will find – A Little Night Music.

This open-air classical concert in the heart of the city, will feature a string ensemble led by Marcelline Agius, under the direction of Gozitan conductor Colin Attard.

They said that the chosen repertoire chosen is very entertaining and also rather appropriate for the open-air surroundings on what promises to be a perfect summer’s evening musical experience.

Two of the most loved serenades, Mozart´s Eine Kleine Nachtmusik and Elgar´s Serenade for Strings, will be among the classical works being performed.

Works by local composers Joseph Vella, Carmelo Pace and up-and-coming Pierre Louis Attard will also be presented.

A Little Night Music is being performed this Saturday, the 25th of August, starting at 8:00pm. It is presented by the Gozo Cultural Council and entrance is free of charge.

In case of inclement weather, the concert will be held at the Ministry for Gozo Hall.
