Update with video added to exhibition – Nine painting drafts (or bozzetti) from the early twentieth century by Prof Giambattista Conti (1878-1971) which have been received as a bequest, acted as the spur for a temporary exhibition of a further dozen Conti abbozzi for his works at St George’s Basilica in Victoria from the ’50s.

On Wednesday, the museum announced that a concurrent 10-minute photo video showing Conti’s art at St George’s Basilica has also been added to the exhibition.

The Conti Collection is on view to the public until Wednesday, the 19th of September, at Il-Hagar Museum, which already has on permanent display the finished colour maquettes for its four apses.

The Museum is located in St George’s Square, Victoria, Gozo and is open 9am to 5pm seven days a week till the 19th of September. There is no entrance fee but donations are welcome, or help in the necessary restorations.

Other current Il-Hagar exhibits include Salvatore Iozzi Photos `Gozo: Colori – Kuluri – Colours,’ Old Decorated Postcards and St George Icons.
