Rise of 3.87% registered in July’s industrial producer price index

Data released by the National Statistics Office today show that the industrial producer price index registered an increase of 3.87% when compared to last year.
The NSO noted that this was due to a rise of 10.18% in the intermediate goods sector and 0.11% in the capital goods sector.
A decrease was registered in the consumer goods sector of 0.51%. No price changes occurred in the energy sector, the NSO added.
Domestic market industrial producer prices increased by 0.53%. Price increases were recorded within the intermediate goods (2.97%) and consumer goods (1.13% sectors, while a price drop was registered in the capital goods sector (1.33%).
Non-domestic prices increased by 5.86% due to a rise of 7.08% within the non-euro area and 3.33% within the Euro area.
