Police have said that a 47-year-old motorcyclist and his pillion passenger are both in hospital following a traffic accident in Triq Ta’ Mannar, Xaghra, Gozo.

The motorcyclist was slightly injured, however his passenger – a 35-year-old woman, is suffering from serious injuries, Police said.

The accident happened at around 8.30am this morning, when the Kentoya motorbike they were on collided with a Mitsubishi RVR.

The Mitsubishi was being driven by a 25-year-old Xaghra man, who was not injured in the accident.

Police investigations are still underway.
