Project proposals under the ERDF announced

The Planning and Priorities Coordination Division (PPCD) within the Office of the Prime Minister would like to announce that new separate calls for project proposals part-financed by the European Union under the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) 2007-2013 will be launched shortly.

Eligible applicants will be invited to submit applications for projects falling under the following Priority Axes of Operational Programme I ‘Investing in Competitiveness for a Better Quality of Life’:

Priority Axis 4: Upgrading Services of General Economic Interest

Focus area: Energy – call restricted to interventions regarding energy efficiency and renewable energy sources in infrastructure in Gozo (total financial threshold: EUR 5 million).

Priority Axis 6: Urban Regeneration and Improving the Quality of Life

Focus areas:

– Internal mobility – call restricted to actions promoting modal shift and actions related to clean urban transport (total financial threshold: EUR 7 million);

– E-Accessibility (total financial threshold: EUR 25 million);

– Education, Social and Health-related Infrastructure – call restricted to actions within the formal education sector (total financial threshold: EUR 10 million);

– Environmental Monitoring (total financial threshold: EUR 5 million).

The calls, together with the announcement of related Information Sessions, will be officially launched in the coming weeks on the local media and on the PPCD webpage www.ppcd.gov.mt/calls_all. The related application forms and documentation will be uploaded on the same link.
