Raise the Curtain – a new book by Gozo Live, has been launched during an event held at Il-Hagar Museum in Victoria.

The book contains a variety of short plays, most of which were entered in the Gozo Live Play Writing Competition from 2014 to 2017.

The launch got underway with Professor Anthony Aquilina, who spoke enthusiastically about the importance of drama as a subject in schools.

This was followed with an interesting talk by Vincent Vella on his wide experience in successfully writing radio plays for the BBC.

Marion Scarborough and Jayne Giodanella brought the evening to a close with a brilliant performance of `Dummy,’ written by Rob Ricards.

The audience had the opportunity to have a look at the book and get the signatures of those authors who were present.

The publishers, Faraxa, provided snacks and drinks, and Gozo Live thanked them for their initiative in agreeing to publish this special book.
