An urgent call for blood has been issued by the National Blood Donation Service, with all types needed.

There is a blood donation session in Gozo this coming Sunday, the, 4th of August and the Service is urging Gozitans to please donate if possible, in order to help meet the challenge of maintaining a good blood reserve.

The session is between 8:00am and 1:00pm – last registration is 1:00pm – at the District Health Centre in Xewkija.

It is important to always take your Identity Card, or Driving License or Maltese Passport and to drink plenty of water beforehand.

The Service thanks everyone who intends to donate.
