The Gozo Youth Wind Band is next month presenting – Stage and Proms on the Sea – a spectacular concert held in the beautiful setting of Mgarr Marina in Gozo.

Youth musicians hailing from all over Gozo, augmented with foreign and Maltese musicians, are currently in full swing preparing for this 5th Edition of the concert, which is reminiscent of London West-End shows, with evergreen masterpieces from the Proms

The audience will be able to enjoy an evening of excerpts and medleys from the musicals and classic encores as performed in the Final Night of the Proms held at the Royal Albert Hall in London.

Stage and Proms on the Sea is on Monday, the 9th of September, starting at 8.30pm. Free Entrance (standing). There is an optional premium VIP designated seated area, including welcome drink and food, this is available strictly by reservation.

This initiative has been supported by the Ministry for Gozo Culture Fund within the Ministry for Gozo and is held in collaboration with, MTA, Gozo Culture and Information Office, Visit Gozo and Mgarr Marina.

The Gozo Youth Orchestra said that it will then be presenting a large-scale spectacular rock orchestral concert titled Not Just . . . The Wall another tribute to the music of Pink Floyd on Saturday, the 2nd of November, at the Aurora Theatre, Victoria, Gozo.

The concert will be featuring Cash & Band together with Neville Refalo, Chris Grech, Cheryl Balzan, Sarah Bonnici, Keith Anthony, Dorothy Bezzina and the NJTW choir.

All concerts will be under the direction of Mro Dr Joseph Grech.
