The National Blood Transfusion Service is calling on Gozitans to continue to support the health service in our country by giving blood and thereby helping to maintain a much needed reserve.

Those who would like to respond to the appeal are being asked to consider donating blood during a session in Gozo this Sunday, the 18th of August.

The District Health Centre in Xewkija will be taking donations between 8:00am to 1:00pm (last registration until 1:00pm).

The Centre is located in Triq tall- Hamrija, between the Primary School and the Bocci Club.

The Service reminded that it is important to always take your Identity Card, or Driving License or Maltese Passport and to drink plenty of water beforehand.
