The Malta Cycling Federation time trial national championship came to an end with the third and last round with the race at il-Mizieb.

Gozitan cyclists once again ended up on the podium of their respective categories, with the Sultana brothers both winning in their categories.

The Under 23 category was won by Brandon Sultana of Gozo CC in 02:24.00. He was followed by Carl Xuereb of Mosta AF Sign Studio CC (02: 40.49) and Joseph Mifsud of Gozo CC (02:44.01).

With this result, Brandon Sultana became champion of this new category with a total of 550 points as he won this il-Mizieb race, while finished second both at Mriehel and Mtarfa.

Bernard Sant and Carl Xuereb both of Mosta AF Sign Studio CC finished second and third with 540 and 455 points respectively.

His brother, Darren Sultana of Gozo CC finishing his race in 02:40.44 so he also won his Male Under 16 Category. Behind him came two cyclists of Mosta AF Sign Studio CC respectively, Matthew Galea Pirotta (02:51.35) and Jacob Schembri (02:56.98).

In the Under 12 Boys category Keith Sultana of Gozo CC finished third in 05:11.00. This race was again won by Jonas Micallef of Mosta AF Sign Studio CC making his race in 03:44.00. Behind him ended Luca Teuma of Mosta AF Sign Studio CC (05:09:00).

It is good to note the great progress made by the Gozitan members of the Gozo Cycling Club this year. Three of them became National Champions: Joseph Muscat (Under 23 Road Race); Brandon Sultana (Under 23 Time Trial) and Darren Sultana (Under 16 Road Race).
