The Nationalist Party has reiterated its call for the Government to immediately publish all relevant studies on the Gozo.
In a statement the PN said that the Government should stop taking decisions without studies and without a long-term.
The Opposition said that it noted that the Association of Gozitan workers in Malta had also requested any studies to be published related to the tunnel project.
The PN insisted that publishing the studies will be in the best interest of Gozo and the Gozitans, environmental sustainability and good governance.
It went on to say that it has however been reported in some media that the first tender will be issued later this year when no study has yet been published.
“The Government should stop stalling and instead hear the requests and concerns of many organisations including the GTA,” the PN said.
The Opposition concluded by saying that it is in favour of measures to improve connectivity between Malta and Gozo and stressed that the Government should introduce a fast ferry service, as well as restore the freight service.
In response Minister for Transport Ian Borg said that “all studies concluded so far were published months ago immediately after Parliament unanimously voted for this project.”
