The Ministry for Gozo, in reaction to the National Party’s criticism on the Government’s handling of the selection of a fast ferry service operator, said that the Government is committed to guaranteeing accessibility between Gozo and Malta.
In a statement the Ministry argued that, “this commitment was clearly evidenced with the introduction of the fourth ship to the Gozo Channel fleet, as well as advanced plans for the permanent link between the two islands, the call for a helicopter service and also the fast ferry, which is an election commitment of this Government.”
The Ministry added that the Opposition knows full well that the matter of a proposed fast ferry service is still the subject of court proceedings and until theses are completed the process to provide such service cannot move forward.

Why is the Ministry for Gozo so determined to destroy the island forever with a permanent link? Shouldn’t they be fighting to protect the island from such stupid ideas?
Connectivity first priority so why the heliport is not in operation. Oh wait it is used only for the Minister.
