This year’s edition of Summer On the Move Gozo came to a close with an event held at the Gozo Sports Complex in Victoria.
Minister for Gozo Dr. Justyne Caruana presented participation certificates and medals to all the students that took part.
About 200 children attended 10 weeks of daily training in Gozo Sports Complex in 28 different discipline than 19 trained all qualified coach. Everything was coordinated by workers Gozo Sports Board and SportsMalta.
She said that the Ministry for Gozo subsidises this programme with the aim of encouraging more children to take part in sporting activities.
The Gozo Minister said that she had enjoyed talking to the children, who had also made some suggestions to her for the future.
Dr Caruana gave thanks to SportMalta, the Gozo Sports Board and all the coaches for their work and assistance during the summer.
Present for the ceremony were the Chief Executive of the Gozo Sports Board Alvin Grech, President of the Board Sean Daly and Coordinator of Summer on the Move and Secretary of the Board Joe Bajada.
