GMA fundraising motocross and autocross event this Sunday in GozoA reminder that this Sunday, the Gozo Motocross Association is organising the first event of the season, with another edition of flat track racing – this time a fundraising event for the Arka Foundation.

GMA ghal Dar Arka – is taking place in collaboration with the Ministry for Gozo, the Gozo Sports Board and the Gozo Horse Racing Association.

The first race will start at 1:00pm, this coming Sunday, the 6th of October and all proceeds will go to Arka Foundation.

The GMA said that the area will be transformed into two different tracks purposely designed by GMA President Frank Xuereb. A motocross flat track will house both motocross and enduro bikes while another one will be for autocross.

Around 30 bike riders will participate in these competitions, while 14 autocross enthusiasts will challenge each other in an exciting afternoon of racing.

Fans and motocross enthusiasts are looking forward to the first round of the GMA Championship 2020, which will be on Sunday, the 13th October, at Ta’ Xhajma Motocross Track, Gozo. New riders have joined as member riders and they will be competing in the beginners’ class.

The second part of the Sports twinning between Gozo and Sicily will take place between the 2nd and 5th of November. The GMA said that Sicilian motocross riders will enjoy their time visiting Gozo both as tourists and motocross riders.

On the Saturday, they will have a day of training at Ta Xhajma motocross track. Then on Sunday, competitions will take place between Sicilian and Gozitan riders. More information will be given at a later stage.
