The BOV GFA Player of the Month for September has been awarded to Nadur Youngsters defender Gennaro Hili.

23 year old Hili joined Nadur Youngsters during this summer’s transfer window after being a regular for Xewkija Tigers for several years.

The GFA said that he had a stellar start to the season that saw his team winning the GFA Super Cup with a 3-0 win over Victoria Hotspurs.

A 4-0 victory over Oratory Youths in the first round of the FA Trophy was followed by two wins over Victoria Wanderers and Xaghra United. “His commanding defencive play saw his team win all these matches without conceding a single goal,” said the GFA.

Gennaro was presented with the BOV GFA Player of the Month trophy for September by Horace Laudi, Chief Officer at Bank of Valletta.

Hili chose the Arka Foundation to benefit from the donation associated with this award.
