November -Movember, is recognised as the month to raise awareness of men’s health issues, such as prostate cancer and testicular cancer

The National Blood Transfusion Service is reminding the public of the need for blood to help treat any type of cancer, and throughout the month there will be the opportunity to give blood during sessions taking place in Gozo.

Donations can be made at the District Health Centre in Xewkija, located in Triq tall- Hamrija, between the Primary School and the Bocci Club on any of the four dates shown below:

Sundays – last registration 1:00pm

10 November from 8: 00am to 1:00pm

24th November from 8: 00am to 1:00pm

Tuesdays – last registration 5:00pm

5th November from 1:00pm-5:00pm

19th November from 1:00pm-5:00pm.

The Service reminds everyone that it is important to always take your Identity Card, Driving License or Maltese Passport and to drink plenty of water beforehand.
