There will be a blood donation session taking place this Sunday in Gozo. The National Blood Transfusion has said that low blood reserves may result in the need to postpone scheduled operations.

With this in mind, the Service is calling on all Gozitans who are able, are asked to please donate blood this Sunday the 10th of November, at the District Health Centre in Xewkija, where they will be taking donations between 8:00am to 1:00pm (last registration until 1:00pm).

The Centre is located in Triq tall- Hamrija, between the Primary School and the Bocci Club.

The Service reminds everyone that it is important to always take your Identity Card, or Driving License or Maltese Passport and to drink plenty of water beforehand.
