Puli, the Nationalist Party’s Secretary General, has urged the Party structures in Gozo “to combat environmental destruction and corruption.””

“We want to work in Gozo and with Gozitans to defend the interests of Gozitans and everything that touches us as Maltese and Gozitans,” the Secretary General said during a visit to Gozo where he met with various PN Gozo structures.

Among others, the Secretary-General had a meeting with members of the Sectional Committees, Mayors and Councillors of the Nationalist Party, when he discussed the work of the PN in Gozo over the coming months.

The Secretary General said that the work of the PN Party in Gozo must not just continue, but also increase. Clyde Puli said that it is important that the PN Gozo continues to ensure its presence among the people and this can only be done with the help and participation of all activists.

As regards Local Councils, the Secretary-General said that in Gozo PN has a great responsibility because it holds eight local councils, against the Labour Party’s four.

He stressed that local councils should be the shield of residents, and must be seen to defend when the Government makes decisions that are not in the interest of the locality, as happened a few days ago in Qala.

He urged those in Gozo to join the Nationalist Party on the following Saturday for the protest being held in Valletta.

During his visit to Gozo the Secretary General also had a meeting with the Gozo Regional Committee and several other meetings, in particular with MPs and candidates contesting the thirteenth district, as well as former MPs.
