As part of its present drive to continue strengthening its Restaurant Section, MHRA has formed a dedicated Restaurant Sub-Committee made up solely of restaurateurs operating in various localities.

The Sub-Committee will deal exclusively with matters of importance to the restaurant trade and will strive to tackle crucial issues affecting this sector. Agenda items will include the upgrading of touristic areas, the constant monitoring of the restaurant sector through the collection of data and statistics, as well as discussions with Government on the application of regulations impacting this sector.

MHRA has also recently welcomed the Marsascala Shop Owners Association, which represents around 65 catering establishments, as one of its Associate Members. These members will be directly represented on the MHRA Restaurant Sub-Committee by Matthew Pace, the Marsascala Shop Owners Association’s Secretary.
