The next public Philosophy Sharing Talk in Gozo will be on – Blasphemy – and delivered by Dr. Oliver Magro.

The talk will explore themes around blasphemy and in particular whether communities have a right not to be offended.

Ollie, as he prefers to be known, graduated in Law and Philosophy from the University of Malta with a keen interest in Law and Information Technology.

He has never practised law but has had a career in university administration and systems working with a number of universities worldwide.

Ollie’s interest in this subject matter is purely personal and was triggered by the censorship in Malta of an English play “Stitching” back in 2009.

Blasphemy will be at Arthall, on Friday, the 14th of February, starting at 7.30pm. Everyone is invited to attend this free of charge event.
