The Friends of Australia Association – Gozo Branch would like to express its heartfelt graditude towards the President of Malta who is about to conclude a long and excellent political career.

His Excellency Dr Edward Fenech Adami commenced and has ended his political service as a Leader of the Opposition and now as the highest citizens of our nation – President of the Republic – with a visit to ‘the second home of Gozitans and Maltese,’ the Commonwealth of Australia.

The F.O.A.A.G. says ‘thank you.’ Sincerely greatful for the excellent service rendered to our country by Dr Fenech Adami, particularly for all the gained by Gozitan and Maltese around the world during governments lead by him.

The Dual Citizenship Law amongst many initiative, has given back to thousands of Gozitans and Maltese who left our shores, their children and those return migrants who decided to come back, the dignity they deserve.

Every prime minister that preceeds Dr. Fenech Adami can truely say that he is the prime minister of the Gozitan and Maltese citizens living around the world.

The Gozo Branch of the Friends of Australia Association encourages such visits to be on a regular basis and that an Office for the Comrnissioner for the Maltese Abroad is established within the Office of the President, a step closer towards attaining the concept of a Greater Malta.
