Thousands of spectators flocked to Nadur Square to enjoy Sunday afternoon’s Nadur Organised Carnival, which this year saw more than 900 participants.
Entertainment included children’s carnival dances coming from primary schools as well as dance companies, hilarious dances, dance groups with carnival costumes, spontaneous sketches which give a little taste of the traditional Spontaneous Carnival at Nadur, maskeruni as well as big floats.
This year’s carnival programme lasted almost six hours and was presented by the popular DanuSan, and ended with the traditional Kukkanja for both kids and adults.
Present for the entertainment was Minister for Gozo Clint Camilleri, together with Mayor Edward Said, local councillors, and representatives of Gozo Culture and Malta Carnival.
According to Mayor Said, this year it experienced yet another record number of people who attended the festivities.
Carnival fun continues this Friday with the Gozo Regional Carnival and the Nadur Spontaneous Carnival.
