servizz.gov has advised that it is currently experiencing technical problems with the freephone number 153, meaning that some customers are unable to get through.

In a statement, it said that there is also an influx of calls in relation to the additional bonus payment announced last Thursday, however it confirmed that cheques are still being distributed by post.

servizz.gov said that it is carrying out the necessary investigations to resolve the technical problem as soon as possible so that the line returns to normal service.

It concluded by saying that the public can communicate with servizz.gov through the regional centres of Birkirkara, Vittoriosa, Qawra, Paola and Qormi, the main website; www.servizz.gov.mt or by e-mail servizz@gov.mt
