Next Saturday, Nadur will be hosting Malta International Fireworks Festival special `Gozo Edition’ starting at around 8pm until around 11pm.

The venue in Nadur will be the belvedere, ensuring that the huge fireworks displays during the evening will be seen across the islands. The organisers have promised that they have “a little something special planned.”

For this pyrotechnic party, 12 Gozitan organisations are expected to take part, namely: Ghaqda Zghazagh La Stella, Ghaqda tan-Nar San Gorg Martri, Vampa Organisations, Ghaqda Festa Ghajn Tuta ta’ Kercem, Kumitat Festa tal-Madonna tal-Grazzja, Ghaqda Piroteknika 10 ta’ Dicembru, Ghaqda tan-Nar Kercem, Ghaqda tan-Nar 20 ta’ Lulju, Socjetà Filarmonika Leone, Kumitat San Guzepp Qala, Ghaqda tan-Nar 29 ta’ Gunju, and 15th August Fireworks Factory – The full programme for the evening displays is still to be announced.

There will also be entertainment provided on the main stage by Rebecca & the Passengers and the DCapitals Big Band. The date to remember is Saturday, the 29th of April.

The festival opens on the 24th of April, from the Grand Harbour and the programme is then for 7 days of events.

Apart from Nadur, the public will have the opportunity to see aerial and ground firework displays from Mellieha, St Paul’s Bay, Naxxar, Manoel Island, Floriana and the Grand Harbour on the 24th and 28th of April.

Malta is expected to host 700 foreign participants for this pyrotechnic festival, as well as 100 exhibitors for the International Symposium of Fireworks.
