An international celebration for Easter is being held at St Joseph Parish Church, Qala on Sunday, the 29th of March.
This ecumenical, socio-cultural event is entitled “Gozo International Celebration – Easter Edition”, marking the theme “Abide With Me.”
The celebration will be between 6.30 and 8.00pm, and is a welcoming occasion for all foreign nationals residing in or visiting Gozo and all are warmly invited to attend.
The renowned Gozitan-Australian artist Paul A Stellini will paint the event. Performances will take place by The University of Malta Junior College Orchestra under the direction of Mro. Manoel Pirotta, Schola Cantorum Jubilate under the direction of Marouska Attard and lead by Stefan Attard, Gozo Handbell Ringers and The Magnificent Choir, Baritone Joseph Buttigieg and Soprano Ruth Portelli.
The Horace Mercieca Award will be bestowed for the first time during the evening.
The evening will conclude with a reception at the Bishop Mons F. Buttigieg Hall, 28 April 1688 Street in Qala.
