A family member of the Maltese man who this morning tested positive for coronavirus, has also confirmed positive for the virus, the Health Ministry said on Wednesday evening.

They were together on holiday in the Dolomites in the north of Italy, said the Ministry, adding that it was another imported case of the virus. The woman is in good health and is at the IDU in Mater Dei Hospital.

The health authorities said that it had been informed that the woman had not been to work since returning to Malta.

The Government said that it is taking “all the necessary measures to safeguard the health of the Maltese people.”
