Easter public manifestations will not be held in Gozo and Malta. This includes for Our Lady of Sorrows and Good Friday processions.
The announcement was made in a decree which has been issued by the Vatican as another measure aimed at containing the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic.
It was also recommended that those liturgical functions that can be postponed are held at a later date.
Religious functions have already been ceased in Gozo and Malta.
