With immediate effect, commercial vessels and water sport operators will no longer be allowed to disembark passengers in Mgarr, Gozo or other places in Gozo or Comino.
Transport Malta said that these preventative measures are being adopted in light of the Covid-19 spread.
The expiry of certifications, registrations and permits of commercial vessels, small ships and moorings is also being temporarily extended.
These include: Registration of Small Ships, Nautical Licenses, Certification of Commercial Vessels, Certification of Competency and Mooring Permits.
Transport Malta said that boat owners must have a valid insurance policy at all times.
