Covid-19: Another 5 new cases in Malta, total now at 139 – Prof Gauci

In Friday’s update on the local situation for the Covid-19 pandemic, Supt. of Public Health, Prof Charmaine Gauci, has said that 5 new cases have been registered. This brings the total number to 139.
She advised that there were 432 swabs taken on Thursday. Of today’s 5 cases, 4 were locally transmitted and 1 was contracted through links from travel abroad.
Prof Gauci also said that the 61-year old patient who is in ITU is improving and doing well. There is also now second patient in ITU.
