Update on Gozo cases below: In Saturday’s daily update, Supt. of Public Health Prof Charmaine Gauci, said that 11 new cases of Covid-19 had been reported in the past 24-hours, from 659 swab tests taken.

Prof Gauci said that all of the new cases were contracted through local transmission and all are in good health. There ages range from a 2-year old girl up to a 74-year old woman.

The number of cases now stands at 213, with 9,703 swab tests taken in total. She added that from existing cases, 3 patients are in ITU including 1 in a critical condition, 10 others are in the IDU at Mater Dei, 2 are at the Mount Carmel Hospital, 4 at Boffa and 16 at St Thomas, with the remaining patients are recovering and being monitored at home.

She as always reiterated the need to comply with the measures issued by the health authorities – on social distancing, and for those who are vulnerable that they remain in their homes whenever possible.

Update: According a facebook post by Gozo Minister Clint Camilleri, there are currently 6 confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Gozo. He said that these had been included in the numbers announced by health authorities in daily updates over the recent weeks.
