14 new Covid-19 cases: once again all contracted through local transmission

In the daily update on Sunday, Supt. of Public Health Prof Charmaine Gauci, said that 14 new cases of Covid-19 had been reported in the past 24-hours, from 656 swab tests taken.
Prof Gauci said that all of the new cases were once again all contracted through local transmission and they are in “good condition,” 1 of the new patients is an 86-year old woman. The new cases include 11 men and 3 women.
The number of cases now stands at 227, with 10,358 swab tests taken in total. She added that from existing cases, 3 patients are still in ITU including 1 in a critical condition, 4 others are in wards at Mater Dei, 1 at the Mount Carmel Hospital, 8 at Boffa and 20 at St Thomas, with the remaining patients being monitored at home.
Prof Gauci urged anyone with unexplained diarrhoea or respiratory symptoms, even if they are mild, to contact health authorities for an assessment.
She stressed the importance to everyone of only going out when necessary, and if you have to, then to practice social distancing.
