Gozitan photographer and filmmaker Ricky Bugeja has just released a video entitled NIFS: a Covid-19 Reflection.
This latest production by Ricky Bugeja Studios follows Gozitan artist Mario Abela Studio as he tries to express his understanding of it all.
The filmmaker said that “attempting to navigate the fine lines between what is, and what once was. The video tries to look at the good side of the situation whilst shedding light onto environmental issues and the unsustainable way that we were living, all in the name of progress.”
Ricky remarked that, “Covid-19 has been an eye-opening experience. So many things we once took for granted, now seem miles away. The ordinary, now extraordinary. I Myself lost my uncle Richard to the virus in the UK on the 10th of April, to whom I dedicate this video.”
Ricky has one, simple appeal to the general public “Stay home, stay safe, and let’s get through this together as one nation.

Ricky your film was certainly brilliantly made, but sadly the people that do not observe the guidance of law will not be watching your film.
But I think your film would help the cause of dealing with Covid-19
Simply stunning in its construction , filming. Editing. Simplicity, sound track, score, presentation. Our dear Gozo, fragile yet at peace. A powerful message that we must heed to ensure she keeps that way After this horror has passed. Rick and team, and sincere and simple thank you for this work. Love to meet one day.
