The Feast of the Conversion of Saint Paul is to be celebrated this week in Marsalforn.

The full Programme of Festivities, which start on Wednesday, in honour of Saint Paul celebrated at the church dedicated to his honour in Marsalforn is as follows:

Between Wednesday 18th and Friday 20th January: Solemn Triduum.

5.30pm: Recitation of the Kurunella and impartation of Eucharistic Benediction.

6.00pm: Solemn Mass with homily led by Mgr Lawrence Sciberras. Mass will be animated by organists Mro. Carmel P. Grech and Ivan Attard.

Saturday 21st January: Eve of the Feast.

5.30pm: Solemn Translation of the Relic led by Canon Reuben Micallef, Archpriest of Zebbug Parish, together with the Clergy of the same Parish.

6.00pm: Solemn Mass led by Canon Reuben Micallef and animated by the Regina Angelorum Choir.

Sunday 22nd January: Feast day.

8.00am and 10.00am: Masses with homily. 11.00am: Solemn Mass presided by H.L. Bishop Mario Grech. The Chorus Unda Maris animates the Liturgy.

4.00pm: Solemn Vespers led by Mgr Carmelo Refalo, Xaghra Archpriest, together with the Reverend Chapter and Clergy of Xaghra Parish.

4.00pm: Festive band marches by the Victory Band of Xaghra and Santa Marija Band of Zebbug.

4.30pm: Procession with the titular statue of Saint Paul along the main streets of Marsalforn. The procession will be led by Xaghra Archpriest Mgr Carmelo Refalo and accompanied by the two guest musical bands, playing religious band marches. As the procession enters back in Marsalforn Church, the Antiphon will be sung.

6.00pm: Solemn Concelebrated Mass led by Mgr Carmelo Refalo together with the Reverend Chapter and Clergy of Xaghra Collegiate Basilica. The orchestra animating the Liturgy will be under the baton of Mro. Colin Attard. The celebration ends with the impartation of Eucharistic Benediction.

Wednesday 25th January: Liturgical Feast of the Conversion of Saint Paul.

5.30pm: Solemn Vespers, Recitation of the Kurunella and impartation of Eucharistic Benediction.

6.00pm: Solemn Mass with homily led by Canon Michael Borg, Rector of Marsalforn community.
