The Minister for Gozo Clint Camilleri, together with the Mayor of Xaghra Christian Zammit, have today visited the works being carried out in Triq tal-Qacca – the main arterial road into Xaghra.

Minister Camilleri explained that the work started immediately after it was noticed that several cracks were appearing on the hill, and a technical expert was sent by the Ministry to evaluate what was needed to complete the repair.

The Minister went on to say that the work was carried out straight away in order to prevent further damage to the road structure, which would have cost much more to repair.

Mayor of Xaghra, Christian Zammit, thanked the Minister for Gozo for the rapid start on the repairs to the road.
