The Drugs Squad Police, yesterday afternoon arrested a 23-year-old man from Zebbug, Gozo, following days of investigations in relation to drug trafficking,

Police said that the man was arrested as he came off the ferry at Mgarr. He had raised suspicions when he was seen going to Malta and then returning back on the ferry soon after.

During a stop and search by Police he was found to be in the possession of synthetic drugs.

The 23-year-old was arrested and taken to the Police General Head Quarters in Floriana for further investigations.
