Chorus Urbanus in Concert at St George’s Basilica tonight

A reminder that this evening, Chorus Urbanus Productions will be presenting a sacred music concert featuring the Malta premiere of the Theodore Dubois’ cantata, The Last Seven Words of Christ.
This dramatic sacred cantata written for soloists, choir and orchestra will be performed together with an ensemble that includes an organ, harp and timpani. The soloists taking part will be Yvonne Galea (soprano), Joseph Aquilina (Tenor) and Alfred Camilleri (Baritone).
The ensemble and Chorus Urbanus will be conducted by the choir’s long standing director, Dr John Galea.
The concert will be held today, Palm Sunday, the 5th of April 2009 at St George’s Basilica and will start at 8.30pm.
Those attending are kindly asked to take their seats by 8.20pm.
