This Wednesday, the 8th of July,  Nature Trust Malta/Adopt a Turtle, has organised a clean-up of Ramla Bay in Gozo, between 5.30pm and 7.30pm.

Nature Trust is inviting the public to join them in helping raise awareness about the importance of having a clean beach. “All you need to do is bring a small bucket, reusable gloves, water and a friend!”

Having a clean beach is particularly true now that there is a turtle nest to protect, with the eggs due to hatch sometime later this month.

So please go along and lend a hand and give the hatchlings – which will have already spent around 8 days digging up through the sand to emerge from their nest – a new beginning, with a clean and clear way to start their life in the ocean.
