The eighth edition of the Gozo Ceramics Festival has been officially launched and will be taking place on Saturday, the 1st of August in the beautiful setting of Xlendi Bay.

Speaking at the launch, Minister for Gozo Clint Camilleri said that 30 of the most famous ceramic artists will be exhibiting their various arts and crafts, as well as demonstrating their talents and skills to the public.

He said that this is a unique opportunity where one can see artists create works in real time and added that activities such as these are another attraction for visitors to the island of Gozo

This is an event for the whole family, including entertainment and a special hands-on area for children where they can help decorate ceramics, perhaps creating an imaginative creature and more.

Adults can also have chance of a hands-on experience with clay and live musical entertainment during the evening.

The Xlendi Administrative Committee will also be illuminating the area with the magical fjakkolata, when hundreds of candles will be lit around the bay and on private balconies.

Minister for Gozo Clint Camilleri concluded by inviting everyone to attend this popular evening with family and friends to enjoy a mixture of art and music, as well as the many excellent restaurants in beautiful Xlendi Bay.

There will be a a tuk tuk service provided to the park and ride.
