Health Authorities have reported that 21 new Covid-19 cases has been recorded in the past 24-hours, meaning there are now 171 active cases.
It said that the majority of today’s cases were contacts of previously reported cases, while 2 cases were imported. Most of the new cases are under 35-years of age, however 1 case is an 80-year old. 3 of the new cases are immigrants who were already in quarantine.
There have been no new recoveries. This means that there are 845 cases, 665 have recovered and there have been 9 deaths.
Authorities said that 1,748 swab tests were taken during the last 24-hours. The total number of swabs taken since the start being 128,747.
Public Health Authorities said that anyone who needs to take a test should call 111 to set an appointment, even if they do not have any symptoms. It is to be noted that due to the large volume of calls, it can take some time to get through.
All 3 swabbing centres are open daily Monday to Sunday, including the one in Gozo.
What does “open daily Monday to Sunday” mean?
Open up to, but not including Sunday?
Open from, but not including Monday?
Or does it mean “open every day”, even though “open every day including weekends” would be helpful for those who don’t know that every day includes weekends, in Malta.
And a list of opening times would be helpful.
Or are they open 24/7?
So what has happened to the 65+ asylum seekers the AFM brought in a few days ago that tested positive? Has that conveniently been swept under the carpet?
