Budget 2021 proposals were discussed during the recent monthly meeting of the Gozo Regional Committee within MCESD.

During the meeting the Committee agreed to call on the authorities to tackle the issue of the inter-island connectivity, as well as connectivity on the island, such as including more parking spaces and the introduction of circular smaller buses in the capital of Victoria.

Committee members also highlighted the need for a policy and strategy as well as an incentive package to attract investment in digital economy, while also emphasising on the creation of more job opportunities on Gozo for the Gozitans.

The Gozo Regional Committee also called for a distinct approach, and courses on offer at the University of Malta Campus in Xewkija as well as the ITS Qala Campus.

In conclusion, the GRC said that it will be proposing to the Government to assist the voluntary sector on Gozo, with combined Government services made available on Gozo.
