This Friday, the Gozo SPCA is holding the Annual General Meeting of the Society, which will be taking place on Friday, at 5.30pm for a 6.00pm start.

In the light of Government restrictions to combat the spread of Covid-19, the Society said that it has been decided to change the venue for the AGM, which will now be held at the Main Hall, Government Experimental Farm, Xewkija.

It said that the Hall is much more spacious than the room at the NGO Centre and allows for better social distancing.

Visitors may have their temperature taken upon entry and are asked to please wear face coverings and observe the social distancing measures advised by the Government.

“If you have Covid or symptoms or have been in contact with a person known to have Covid then you should not attend,” the Gozo SPCA said.

Gozo SPCA said that copies of the minutes of the last AGM and the Financial Report will be available on the night.

The entrance is located on Mgarr Road on the left hand side leaving Victoria. There is ample parking space.

The Hall is at the top of the entrance to the Animal Welfare section of the site. Those arriving by bus from the direction of Victoria, should alight at the bus stop at the Xewkija cross-roads (Industrijali), walk back to the large metal gates and down to the Hall.

“Its important we have sufficient attendees for a quorum, so if you are thinking of coming, please let us know.”

Gozo SPCA said that following the meeting there will be light refreshments served and the event will conclude by 8.00pm, the Friday, the 7th of August.
