Alternattiva Demokratika has expressed its solidarity with ranger Ray Vella and Birdlife Malta following the violent, dangerous and cowardly attack on the nature reserve’s ranger this morning.

AD Chairperson Arnold Cassola added, “Some people still cannot accept that there are people and organisations who work to preserve and take care of our natural heritage and that there are areas, of which there should be more, where priority is given to nature protection.”

“We hope that those who resort to firearms and extreme violence are brought to justice as quickly as possible.”
