Three young French men were taken to the emergency unit at the Gozo General Hospital this afternoon after being a traffic accident involving quad bikes.

Police said that the accident happened at around 2.40pm in Triq ir-Rabat, Zebbug, Gozo. The three men are all aged 23 and live in Sliema.

One lost control of the Adly 320UD quad bike he was riding. The rider of a second quad bike following behind tried to avoid a collision and as a result crashed into a wall.

The third injured man was a passenger with the rider of the first quad bike that last control.

The condition of the three men is as yet unknown.

Police investigations are ongoing.
