Gozo Minister Clint Camilleri has expressed his pleasure at being able to open the joint mosaic and miniature art exhibition – Every Road is a River, being held at the Ministry.
This exhibition by Mary Portelli and Rabia S. Aktar, brings together their diverse styles and art forms to present this intriguing collection of artwork.
Mary is a Gozitan mosaic artist who is well-known for her bold mosaic technique, creative use of varied media, and vibrant large-scale murals, as found in Mgarr, Gozo.
Meanwhile, Rabia, a Pakistani miniature artist, presents exquisite whimsical paintings which are a treat to the imagination.
This exhibition is being held at the Ministry for Gozo Exhibition Hall, St Francis Square, Victoria.
It will be open to the public until Sunday, the 27th of September. Weekdays 8.30am-12.30pm, weekends and Public Holidays 10am-1pm.
“Every Road is a River, and like a winding river, the future is hazy and unclear, but ultimately wonderful in its strangeness,” the artists said. “Come and explore this idea with us….”
