Minister for Health Chris Fearne, writing on social media, said that just under 1,000 people received the seasonal influenza vaccine at health centres n Sunday – the first day of vaccination.
The MUMN had issued directives to nursing staff not to administer the vaccine, because of an outstanding dispute with the Government over meal allowances and leave.
Minister Fearne gave thanks to those “who chose to provide a service.”
