The Ghajnsielem Local Council has recently been awarded €8,000 by the Ministry for the Economy after achieving runner-up position during the 10th edition of the National Enterprise Support Awards (NESA) 2020.

This award was presented by by Economy Minister Silvio Schembri in recognition for the successful activities and initiatives undertaken by the Ghajnsielem Local Council during the past year to assist local enterprise and entrepreneurship.

The project put forward for the Awards was – Tisbih fil-Komunità u t-Tgwadija tieghu. Ghajnsielem Mayor Kevin Cauchi said that the funds received will be used to embellish the St Eliju belvedere for the better enjoyment of local families.

Mayor Cauchi remarked that the Award is a “great honour which will motivate us to invest in more projects and events in our locality.” He thanked everyone involved, Councillors, workers and in particular Executive Secretary Lucianne Haber for her work towards the application submission and more….
