Police said that hundreds of warnings have been issued over the past week in relation to the newly introduced legal notice related to the mandatory use of masks in both indoor and outdoor spaces.

196 tickets were issued to persons not abiding with the Covid-19 regulations, which, the Police said, were mostly the use of masks which was effectively enforced as from last Friday.

Advice from the Police is to: Properly Wear your Mask – covering nose, mouth and chin; Dispose of Used Masks Safely – do not litter; and Practise Social Distancing – do not gather in large groups.
