A 76-year old man has died from Covid-19, the third death announced today. He is the 60th victim of the virus.
In a statement, the Ministry said the man was confirmed positive for Covid-19 on the 20th of October and admitted to Mater Dei Hospital on the 26th. He continued to be treated in the ITU where he passed away earlier today.
The Ministry said that “the man was suffering from another chronic illness.”
The Health Ministry, while offering its condolences to the patient’s family, once again reiterated its appeal for the public to continue to follow the public health guidelines, including frequent hand washing, social distancing and wearing a mask.
