Following a meeting which was held between the Gozo University Group and Kunsill Studenti MCAST (KSM) it has been agreed that as of the next KSM Executive, there will be a new position which will be occupied by a Gozitan student.

The GUG in a statement said, that this position will be aimed at representing all Gozitan students, which in total are around 250. This decision was also approved during the KSM’s Annual General Meeting.

The student, who will have no connection with any other student organisations, will be selected by GUG it said.

This year, this position within the KSM will be held by Owen Teuma, GUG’s own MCAST Representative.

GUG said that it continues to ensure that Gozitan MCAST Students have a better representation within the MCAST Institute. “In light of this, the organisation has decided that an MCAST sub-committee is to be created in which students would be representing the struggles of Gozitan MCAST Students.”
