Tomorrow the 22nd edition of the 12-hour fundraising marathon L-Istrina will get underway.
The day after Christmas is now synonymous with the annual charity fundraising event – a feast of generosity and solidarity, which this year has had many of the events cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The event is held on the 26th of December to raise money in aid of the Malta Community Chest Fund, to be used for those who are less fortunate. Last year it raised €6,214,190 million.
Gozo Channel will be donating 25 cents from each standard fare ticket purchased in December to the Malta Community Chest Fund Foundation for Istrina 2020.
The charity telethon will start from midday and continue until midnight, and will be shown on all local television stations, as well as online.
